It is headquartered at 770 Broadway in New York, NY. Founded in 1983 as Quantum Computer Services, it has franchised its services to companies in several nations around the world or set up international versions of its services. AOL is best known for its online software suite, also called "AOL", that allowed millions of customers around the world to access the world's largest "walled garden" online community and eventually reach out to the internet as a whole. At its zenith, AOL's membership was over 30 million members worldwide, most of whom accessed the AOL service through the AOL software suite. On May 28, 2009, Time Warner announced that it would spin off AOL into a separate public company by the end of 2009, ending the 8 year relationship between the two companies. From Wikipedia under the

If you just downloaded it but NOT installed it, then probably what you have is only the installation file, usually an *.exe file, for the AOL Toolbar. To search for this file--if you are using Windows XP, click Start>>Search then type AOL on the second search box. Select the whole drive. Then click search. Once the installer if found, click on it and the AOL Toolbar would then install itself. If by chance you cannot find this file, then you can download it again from this site: or this site: This time TRY to remember where you save it . . . better yet, save it on the desktop. Once it is completely downloaded. Click on it to install. Then read this on how to configure it to suit your needs: Answered by ABdA - Fri Oct 24 13:59:42 2008 Where is the AOL article about Al Gore and democratic nomination? Q.
