How often should I chat with my friend who is deployed in Afghanistan?
Q. My male friend is deployed there and we both have Skype. We generally chat and sometimes we talk. I always see him online in his night time (daytime here) and I know he uses it more with family. So, I would like to chat more often with him. We do it once a week or every 2 weeks. He's not a chatty person. How do you think I can let him know I want 2 chat with him more often or is it ok the way we are considering he's saving his time for relatives?

Q. Ok, I know how to chat in the guild chat, in the party chat, and I know how to say something where what you say appears over your head. But how do you talk to other players using just "general" chat or "trade" chat? I'm always seeing people talking to each other in these chat areas. But I have no clue how to enter into a discussion or start one. And some times "whispering" is a little too impersonal and just saying something seems a bit obnoxious and most of the time it goes ignored anyway.

Q. I joined a RP group and am wearing a HU RP tool. It says to chat on another channel. Is it just / ? ANd then by using // I will stay on that channel? How can I tell if a conversation is already going on on that channel, just by wearing the HU RP tool am I already "synced"? I see people but am not picking anything up in chat. There have been instances of people falling in love with and marrying fellow chatters. Well, that was some time ago. Nowadays, I find chat rooms full of sex-starved people. The language used is gross and offensive to many. The proliferation has been much that it no longer remains a place for decent conversation. Personally, I am saddened by this trend. You can only use the mic with Metal Gear Online, it doesn't work in MGS4 (although in MGS4, it's supposed to act as a codec so you don't hear Otcaons in game comments through the tv but through the headset).
