A computer is a programmable machine that receives input, stores and manipulates data//information, and provides output in a useful format.

While a computer can, in theory, be made out of almost anything (see misconceptions section), and mechanical examples of computers have existed through much of recorded human history, the first electronic computers were developed in the mid-20th century (1940–1945). Originally, they were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers (PCs). Modern computers based on integrated circuits are millions to billions of times more capable than the early machines, and occupy a fraction of the space. Simple computers are small enough to fit into mobile devices, and can be powered by a small battery. Personal computers in their various forms are icons of the Information Age and are what most people think of as "computers". However, the embedded computers found in many devices from MP3 players to fighter aircraft and from toys to industrial robots are the most numerous.

How can I connect two computers to one projector, and alternate which computer is being displayed?
Q. I need to be able to connect both computers to one projector, and only show one computer at a time on the projector, and then be able to quickly switch the display between the two computers when needed. Is this possible?

A. yes, my computer teacher has one, he uses it between 20 different students and his own 3, it looks kinda like this but it's for the cables from your computer, you can get them pretty cheap (like $50 at best buy or something)

A. ok this is easy enough... first just plug em into eachother, make sure the lights come on when you plug em in... then go to network connections, right click on the blank screen within the window and click on properties... then you should be able to find your network connections somwhere... this may have been on the left in the little navigation tab depending on your version of windows anyways once you find it right click on your local area connection and click properties again, in there scroll down to TCP/IP, if there are two (v4 and v6 then go to v4) once you have clicked that click on properties again and then set your IP on one computer to 192.168.0.1 and the other computer to 192.168.0.2 and set your subnet address to 255.255.255.0 on… [cont.]

How can I successfully sync my ipod on two computers?
Q. In the past, I've plugged in my ipod on the primary computer and another computer in my house. Both had itunes installed. However, whenever I plugged my ipod into the second computer, the files were erased off my ipod. Therefore, I had to plug it into the primary computer to retrieve the files again. So, how can I save the same files on both computers without running the risk of deleted files?

A. I think you'd need to have identical library files-- you could try transfering them (the audio and library file) to the SAME folder on your other computer via internet/ LAN line. I've never tried this-- but it seems like the logical procedure.
