How long are you supposed to charge new energizer rechargeable batteries before using?
Q. They weren't fully charged out of the packet so i was wondering how long before actually using them.
Asked by Havoc Seeker - Mon Apr 27 01:22:43 2009 - Other - Electronics - 1 Answers - Comments
A. Did you get a charger with them? Just put them in there until it shuts off. Is it a fast or slow charger? If it is a fast charger, then 15-20 minutes. For a slow charger, 4 hours.

Why doesn't energizer to go work on itouch 3g?
Q. I just bought energizer to go and when I plug it into my i Pod touch 3rd generation "charging is not supported with this accessory" pops up. How do I fix it?

A. More than likely apple re organized the pins in the 30-pin connector and it doesn't work for old accessories, they have a bad habit of doing this, there is however a scosche 30 pin adapter, but i'm not sure if it will work for the 3rd gen touch, or if it just helped go from 1st gen to 2nd gen! apple does this crap too much!

Are your children like little energizer bunnies?
Q. Are your children like energizer bunnies, what do they do and how old are they? My daughter is 12yrs old and won't stop running and jumping around every afternoon when I pick her up from school. Kev - Thanks, I like the wording of it too.

A. Haha, I know how you feel...twin 3y/o boys who are constantly whizzing around the house. Sometimes I can't even control them because they wear me out. Always running, jumping, climbing onto stuff and hiding. And it doesn't help me right now because my wife is heavily pregnant with another set of twin boys, so I get what you mean. I'm giving a star, because I like the wording of the question ;-)

How long are Energizer rechargable batteries good for? and when do you know to replace them?
Q. What is the life span on rechargeable batteries? Thanks?
Asked by ollierenee39 - Sat Nov 24 18:26:05 2007 - Other - Electronics - 1 Answers - Comments
A. What chemistry type are you asking about? Rechargeable batteries are good for a certain number of charge/discharg e cycles, not a given period of time. Ni Cads are good for about 1,000 charge/discharg e cycles. Ni MH, Li-Ion, and small lead acid batteries are good for about 350 to 500 charge/discharg e cycles. You replace them when they no longer hold their power as long as they used to when they were new. If they only work half as long as they did it's time to replace them.

Does anyone know about the battery chargers for Duracell and Energizer?
Q. Can I charge Duracell batteries in a Energizer recharger? If not, do you guys know where I can buy the Duracell battery charger for charger a larger amount of batteries than just 4? Hard to find...thank you Yes I have tried on line but it is still hard to find.

A. Ni Mh and Ni Cd batteries are pretty much the same, regardless of manufacturer. Some use better manufacturing processes or better chemicals in the electrolyte for longer reliability, but the technology is essentially the same. Chargers for such batteries are generic and all use the same method. Some of the more expensive ones have extra features for convenience or comfort, such as indicators or timed shut-off, or charge more batteries at at time, or more different types, such as AA, AAA, C, D, 9v, etc. But again, one brand is no more exclusive than another. You can use either Duracell's charger or Energizer's charger to recharge either brand of batteries, or any other brand, for that matter, without damage. No matter what scary warnings… [cont.]

Why does my Energizer rechargeable Nim H AA batteries take so long to charge?
Q. Okay, so they have been charging for like 6 hours, and is taking way to long. Why? please help. I have a energizer charger.
Asked by g - Sat Aug 21 19:08:40 2010 - Other - Electronics - 1 Answers - Comments
A. Energizer chargers are low voltage chargers that take longer to charge. However, a slow charge is a more thorough charge that conditions your batteries to last through many charging cycles. What I do, is charge my batteries at night in the morning the light is green. Once the initial charge has been completed, moving forward future charges will not take as long, because the discharge will vary. For additional information, click on the link below. Best.

A. If you have a single charger that can supply only 500m A charging current. It will take 5 hours for one of the batteries to charge. Charging time depends on your charger capacity. Just keep the batteries there. They wont be overcharged. If however, you need to use them, may be 7 hours is enough.

A. They're permanently sealed when manufactured and are not meant to be opened. Batteries (or more accurately, cells) consist of two metals separated by an electrolytic acid. In AA batteries, the acid is actually contained in a gelatinous paste. One of the metals is the entire outside case of the cell, with the other metal being the tip and is insulated from the case. In order to open the AA cell, you need to cut or rip the metal case open, rendering the cell completely worthless. It also allows you to come in contact with the acidic paste, which is corrosive enough to cause severe skin irritation if not washed (with normal soap & water) shortly after contact (within a few minutes). We opened them as kids. For a volt and a half, it's not… [cont.]

A. You should charge new batteries for 10 to 12 hours the first time. There should be directions that came with the battery. The long charge makes sure the chemicals have all been completely set to the charged state. It helps prolong their service life.

Would any rechargeable batteries work in an Energizer charger?
Q. I have an Energizer battery charger, i'm just wondering if any type of batteries will be charged in it (rechargeable batteries, of course).
Asked by K - Wed Aug 4 07:40:48 2010 - Other - Electronics - 2 Answers - Comments
A. No. The charger and the batteries have to be compatible. You can't charge a Li-Ion battery in a Ni Cd charger, etc. The charger has to be designed for the battery chemistry. The battery, the charger, or both could be damaged if you used the wrong charger for a given battery. You also can't properly charge a 200 m Ah battery in a charger designed to charge a 2500 m Ah battery. The extra current would damage the small battery.

How do you change batteries in Energizer Hard case flashlight model TUF421WBE?
Q. Energizer biggest goof. They do not include instructions nor imprint instruction on the flashlight. I received clues from other yahoo answer, but I had to disassemble the unit to find out the entire base unscrews. You don't have to remove the rubber boot or any screws. You just rotate the bottom portion of the base. I don't have any question other than how lame the designers of the packaging for this item?
