Main characters

Jimmy Neutron

Jimmy Neutron The main protagonist of the series is a very intelligent boy who uses scientific knowledge and innovations to solve issues he is confronted by (most of which he causes himself). He is the son of Hugh & Judy Neutron. His best friends are Carl Wheezer & Sheen Estevez who often end up as test subjects for his experiments & inventions. At the beginning of the series Cindy Vortex is his most important rival, but he secretly feels attracted to her (and vice versa). The latter only came to true expression in the episode "Love Potion 976/J" in which he is accidentally exposed to the effects of a love potion he created himself. This caused him to fall in love with the first girl he'd see, which in this case was Cindy. Later in the episode he proclaims his love for her at the "Candy Bar". Jimmy is usually seen wearing a red shirt with an atom on it, blue jeans, and white shoes. However, in scenes where he's going to bed, in bed, or getting out of bed, he is barefoot and shirtless, wearing nothing but red and orange plaid boxers. He has blue eyes and brown hair that is considered "anti-gravity" and is in a whipped-up form, earning him many nicknames from classmates (especially Cindy) such as "Muff-Cabbage", or (from Cosmo in Jimmy Timmy Power Hour) "Señor Bub-Head".

Carl Wheezer

Jimmy's Best Friend. Carl is allergic to lots of things, including cats, turtles and even lasers. Yet he still helps Jimmy with his experiments. In the movie, Carl wore suspenders but in the TV show he doesn't. In a few episodes it is shown that Carl has a crush on Jimmy's mom. Although Carl didn't make a in-person appearance on Planet Sheen, he appears in one of Sheen's flashbacks. Carl also has a massive obsession over Llamas. While often dismissed by the group of friends, Carl often saves the day and utters occasional pearls of wisdom which belie his station as resident nebbish: "The heart wants what the heart wants" "I can not be a genius 24/7!" and "I don't want to be cool." It is also said he has a sensitive scapula. He makes an non-physical cameo in the spin-off show Planet Sheen t.v. show, the appearance happens when Sheen meets Carl's counter-part Doppy, he sees similarities between Doppy and Carl and haves a flashback to him and Carl's times on earth before he went to Zeenu [the planet Sheen flew to].

Cindy Vortex

Jimmy's sassy, intellectual rival. She has a dog named "Humphrey" who she says is the best dog in Retroville. Her best friend is Libby Folfax. In the movie Cindy in seen wearing a pink buttoned shirt, black jeans, pink shoes, and her hair styled in pigtails. This design of Cindy was used more often for Jimmy Neutron videogames. Also in the mini clip of Jimmy Neutron entitled 'New Dog; Old Tricks', Cindy wears a pink skirt. But in the TV show her hair is styled into a ponytail with a green halter top, khaki pants, and pink converse shoes. She has a secret crush on Jimmy, the show gives little hints of it throughout the seasons, but doesn't actually show it until Season 3. In episode, I Dream of Jimmy, they kiss, and in Lady Sings the News, the kiss at the end

Sheen Estevez

Voiced by: Jeffrey Garcia. Sheen Estevez is Jimmy's other best friend, a hyperactive 13 year-old boy who is known for his obsession with a fictional superhero called "Ultra Lord" who stars in a television program that Sheen frequently watches (perhaps unsurprisingly, Sheen wrote the entire "Ultra Lord" website on the Internet). Sheen is also a fan of Speed Metal. At times Sheen's hyperactive personality boils over, often causing him to scare Carl. He is also best friends with Carl. In Operation: Rescue Jet Fusion (a spoof of James Bond) Sheen states that he is Mexican. Sheen's name is a parody of the Estevez-Sheen family of actors consisting of many famous actors such as Martin Sheen and his sons Emilio, Ramon, Carlos (a.k.a. Charlie Sheen) and Renee.

Besides having a loud voice, Sheen is older than most of his classmates, but it's not because Sheen was held back a year, but because his father made him start kindergarten a year late because he was shy as a young child. Sheen's mother was mentioned but has never appeared in the series before. Sheen also has an unseen younger sister, but she was only mentioned in "I Dream Of Jimmy" when she argued with Sheen about the possible existence of the "Potty Fairy." Sheen also has an ongoing crush on Libby Folfax, and at the beginning of the series she constantly taunted and rejected Sheen just how Cindy was with Jimmy before their romance blossomed. Towards the end of the series, however, Libby agreed to be Sheen's girlfriend, which gave him the strength to fight an enemy in one episode. Of all the characters on "Jimmy Neutron", Sheen acts the oddest. In one episode he is the only person who continually ate the literally-shocking candy that Jimmy invented and in two others (though throughout the series he has a liking to be shocked by anything electrical), when it seems the Earth will be destroyed, Sheen is only interested in winning a contest and becomes upset when he realizes the monster truck rally will be held the day after doomsday. His head is shaped like a cone. He can also play guitar, seen in the episode "El Magnifico".

He appears as the main protagonist in the spin-off Planet Sheen.[1]

Nick Dean

The "Cool" Kid at School. Often seen on a skateboard, doing dangerous tricks. He doesn't do show and tell, shows up to school five minutes before dismissal sometimes, and is obsessed with styling his hair. He is considered very handsome by all girls in the school. He is also of Brazilian American descent and breaks his leg from time to time on his skateboard, when he does so he usually lets out a high pitched girly scream. Nick also has a mother who can speak Portuguese and English. He was originally going to be part of the regular gang; (In the movie he had that role more than Libby) and Libby would be one of the supporting kids such as Butch or Oleander. He is one of the towns' wealthist children, living in a 92 room mansion, with a bowling alley, maids' quarters, a screening room, and a soda parlor. He can also sing operatic German, and can style his hair without using his hands. Voiced by Candi Milo. In the movie, he was almost always seen with a purple lollipop in his mouth. He is very strong as shown in one episode he was able to beat up Jimmy, Carl, and Sheen and throw all three of them in the dumpster. However, he can be a coward at times and even a wimp as in the movie when he confronted Poultra, he ran away screaming like a girl. He wore a sleeves jacket for the first half of the series then switched to a leather jacket.

Libby Folfax

Libby is the name of Cindy's sassy, wealthy close friend for whom Sheen has been shown to possess an infatuation. For a while, Libby disliked Jimmy and his friends, siding with Cindy, but as the series drew on both Libby and Cindy started to grow more attached to Jimmy, Carl, and Sheen, and Libby became Sheen's girlfriend, much to his glee. It was revealed in one episode that Libby's great-grandmother was an ancient Egyptian queen who died at a young age, and at one point in the episode Libby was forced to masquerade as her in order to distract a group of revived mummies. For the rest of the series, Libby kept her grandmother's hairstyle, and her wardrobe also changed. She adores popular music and dancing, and lusts for it as soon as it has been taken away from her for any reason.

Goddard

Jimmy's trusty robotic dog. He is made of sprockets, circuits and widgets, and makes a great man's best friend. One of the best dogs by Jimmy. Jimmy's dog Goddard was shown in all seasons.

Hugh Neutron

Jimmy's father, Hugh Neutron, is portrayed as a clueless, stupid, and dimwitted person who is obsessed with ducks, his wife's toast and pies. Other than that however, he is a typical father who has a piece of advice for Jimmy. He loves to collect figurines of ducks and display them around the house and it is also his favorite hobby. Hugh also loves his wife Judy's pies, and once in the series invented a holiday called "Pule" (a combination of Pie and yule) when Jimmy accidentally causes Christmas to be replaced by messing with Santa's atoms.

Judy Neutron

Jimmy's mother, Judy Neutron, is portrayed as a smart loving mother who sometimes is strict because she wants her family to do the right thing. Her favorite activities include going out with her husband Hugh and making healthy dinner for her family. She wears jumbo gold hoop earrings, wears a green sleeveless dress with small pink polka-dots, along with a white pearl necklace. She wears green high-heel dress shoes, wears red lipstick, has a mole on the right side of her face. She sometimes wears a white apron in the movie.[1] She seems to have a lot more common sense than most other characters
