A MUD (originally Multi-User Dungeon, with later variants Multi-User Dimension and Multi-User Domain), pronounced /ˈmʌd/, is a multi-user real-time virtual world. Most MUDs are represented entirely in text, but graphical MUDs are not unknown. MUDs combine elements of role-playing games, hack and slash, interactive fiction, and online chat. Players can read or view depictions of rooms, objects, other players, non-player characters, and actions performed in the virtual world. Players typically interact with each other and the world by typing commands that resemble a natural language. Traditional MUDs implement a computer role-playing game set in a fantasy world populated by fictional races and monsters, with players being able to choose from a number of classes in order to gain specific skills or powers. The object of this sort of game is to slay monsters, explore a fantasy world, complete quests, go on adventures, create a story by roleplaying, and advance the created character. Many MUDs were fashioned around the dice-rolling rules of the Dungeons & Dragons series of games. Such fantasy settings for MUDs are common, while many others have science fiction settings or are based on popular books, movies, animations, history, and so on. Not all MUDs are games; some are designed for educational purposes, while others are purely chat environments, and the flexible nature of many MUD servers leads to their occasional use in areas ranging from computer science research to geoinformatics. MUDs have attracted the interest of academic scholars from many fields, including communications, sociology, law, and synthetic economies. Most MUDs are run as hobbies and are free to players; some may accept donations or allow players to purchase virtual items, while others charge a monthly subscription fee. MUDs can be accessed via standard telnet clients, or specialized MUD clients which are designed to improve the user experience. Numerous games are listed at various web portals, such as The Mud Connector. The history of modern Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs) like World of Warcraft, and related virtual world genres such as the social virtual worlds exemplified by Second Life, traces directly back to the MUD genre. Indeed, before the invention of the term MMORPG, games of this style were simply called graphical MUDs. GNU Free Documentation License PA mud! Any ideas how to get mud completely out of light colored clothes? Q. Mud in PA!!! My kids love to play outside, but this time of year brings mud. Even tho I preach to them all of the time to wear "play" clothes out side, they don't always listen! My daughter wore a light pink sweat suit out side and got mud all over it. I soaked it immediately and tried to rinse it out. Now I have it soaking in oxy clean. She has ruined other clothes this way, and I've done the same thing and it usually doesn't take it all out. Dishwasher soap works, if you use the liquid or gel work it into the clothes with a tooth brush, then throw in the washer and add more dishwasher soap, if you use the powder soap make a paste out of it and scrub the soiled area then add the powder to the washer when you wash the clothes, this worked on my sons football uniform. Also lestiol works really well, just pour a little on the stain and scrub, then wash in the washer with lestoil, rinse twice as your clothes will smell like the lestoil, but this will also work well. After i did an exfoliating facial scrub, I applied the dead sea mud on and almost instantly, I felt a terrible burning sensation on my face! Given the fact that I do not have sensitive skin, so I'm wondering if it's normal to have such a tingling moment when first applied the dead sea mud or it is because I shouldn't had scrubbed my face prior to applying the mask? I made a large sqaure mud cake a week ago and doubled the recipe so as to make it quite deep, it took roughly 3 1/2 hours to cook on a low temperature, but i found that the cake formed a tough crust on the top and sides of the cake. They are beneficial because the whole cake, or custard will reach the same temperature at the same time. It keeps the edges from getting hard, while the center is still soft.
