Is it worth to upgrade my account at neobux?
Q. 1.) I am renting 6 referrals for now and I am planning to upgrade my account, is it worth it? 2.) How much ads you have available as a golden member at neobux? I know standard member is 4-5 ads a day 3.) Whats are the sites good for getting referrals or to advertise?
Asked by alex - Tue Dec 15 17:45:44 2009 - - 1 Answers - 2 Comments
A. 1.) You should get some more referrals at first and learn to manage them before you consider upgrading. I would recommend you to get at least 50 to 100 referrals first and then move on. 2.) As a Golden member you usually have 9 ads available, depending on how many advertisers are promoting their products. I've heared from people having clicked up to 30 ads per day, which obviously is a rare situtation but sometimes doable. ;) 3.) I personally have set up my own blog(s) to promote NeoBux and it works real good. But I also had good luck with advertising on Aurora PTC sites which are usually extremely cheap.

Is it worth getting a degree in media arts and animation at the Art Institute for a hundred thousand dollars?
Q. Would my carreer be rewarding enough in the long run? Is it worth spending all that money? What are better schools in southern california or elsewhere that could possibly be a better choice?

A. California State University, Fullerton in much less expensive and they are a great school. One of their grads went on to do animation for the movie Horton Hears a Who. I can't remember what studio it was, but he worked for them. CSUF is about $5,000 per year including books.

Is it worth it to get an Associates degree in Biology?
Q. I'm planning on majoring in Biology and getting my Bachelors degree, but I'm wondering if I should get my Associates while I'm at it? Do you think it's worth a few extra classes for it? Will it benefit me in any way? I've read from other answers that it's useless. Right now I'm in community college and planning on transferring to get my Bachelors. Thank you!
Asked by Kasey C - Mon Nov 30 14:21:27 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It depends on your college. If your community college has a transfer agreement with state universities in your area in which your completed associates degree will transfer in for your entire core (non-major) curriculum, it may be a good idea. This is often the case if you're transferring in for a liberal arts degree - I'm not so sure about science. If your college doesn't have such a program, it's not really worth it to finish the associates...most universities only allow you to transfer a certain number of lower-division hours or hours from a community college, so you could be shooting yourself in the foot by paying for and taking classes for your associates that may not even transfer/count towards your total hours.

Is it worth refinancing your home to include your car loan to claim the interest on the car loan?
Q. I have a mortgage at 6% and I have been told for tax reasons it is good to refinance the house, just not sure if it is worth the expense to refinance; will it help that much with the interest I claim.
Asked by Phyllis B - Thu Mar 29 08:03:19 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Impossible to know with this much info. Depends on the interest rate you'd get on the refi, how much is on your car loan, your current tax bracket, the rate of interest on your car loan, etc. It won't make sense to roll the car into the home loan if you end up saving a few grand on taxes now, but end up paying several years more of interest on the home loan. If you had a higher interest rate, the refinance might make more sense. For starters, do an amortization table now and figure out how much you'll be paying on the lifespan of your current mortgage. Then do another one plugging in the amount you'd pay with a refinance, including the expenses.

Is it worth it to purchase a bread machine?
Q. I love bread but we are only a household of 2. Is it worth it to purchase one?
Asked by Eskimo - Mon Jun 9 04:33:12 2008 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It's only wasted money if you buy the machine and don't use it. A friend gave me his machine in 2005 and I made bread on average of once a week and there are only 2 people in this household. Unless you have arms like Popeye, a bread machine will always do a better job of kneading the dough. After awhile, I got tired of coffee-can shaped loaves of bread so I let the machine do the work and would then dump out the dough and shape it into a baguette or rolls/buns and bake it in my oven. Homemade bread freezes beautifully and makes awesome toast. I also made rolls/ buns and froze them before the second rise. It was easy to take a few out of the freezer, let them rise at room temperature and have as many as required for a meal. Homemade bread… [cont.]

Is it worth doing any of your own work when building a home?
Q. How much will it pay off to do some of the work on our home when building. We are thinking of doing our own painting and trim work, etc (we're very capable, have flipped many homes). The flip side is that we are sick to death of doing these things and wonder if it is worth letting our contractor do them.
Asked by Misty O - Tue Aug 14 14:43:28 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Sounds like you answered your own question. Maybe you need a break. Get a good set of plans for your new home and have the contractor give you a bid. Specify that the bid have the cost of the trim work and painting (and anything else that you think you might do) identified separately. With those numbers available, you can identify how much you'd be saving by doing it yourself and thus make your mind up.

A. It wouldn't be a bad idea, but don't feel you have to. When you actually start training, you'll want to eat a lot more and gain some weight in muscle pending on the program...but before you start, it's your call. Wouldn't hurt to get a few pounds of fat to burn off.

A. I live in the country and have a well. The well pump uses very little electricity. My entire electric bill is less than the water bill I had in town. I suppose it depends on how much water you use, and what the rates are in your area.

Is it worth getting a premium membership to International Pool Tour for the video library access?
Q. I'm still working on what to get my brother for Christmas. He is really into pool, and he's in a league. He is winning a lot of games. People have made lots of good suggestions, and one is to get him instructional DVD's. Is it worth just getting him a two month membership (among other things) to International Pool Tour for their instructional DVD library? Thanks!

A. I suggest giving your brother a book instead --> Byrne's Complete Book of Pool Shots: 350 Moves Every Player Should Know. Robert Byrne is a hall-of-famer and a master teacher in the pool industry. The book contains 20 categories of pool shots (from tickys to double-kisses, and from jump shots to diamond systems). Some secret shots that only the pool professionals know are revealed in this book. This book is by far, the best book I've ever read about pool/billiard. No matter how good your brother is already, I guarantee his game will improve further. My game improved from level 1 to level 5 (10 being the highest) and I only have time to play once-a-week. It's definitely worth it! Caveat: The book does not seem to be available… [cont.]

A. This is known as an "inverted third print" or an "interverted overprint" and greatly increases the value of the bill to a collector, but it is not so uncommon that the bill would be considered rare. The condition of the bill is a major factor in determining its value. For example, one reference book* lists the value of a 1935 E $1 silver certificate as $150 if the bill is in "fine" condition $355 if the bill is in "extra fine" condition or $750 if the bill is in "crisp uncirculated" condition. The 1935 D $1 silver certificate without a misprint is generally a little more valuable than a 1935 E $1 silver certificate, so I think a misprinted version would be worth a little more. I will also warn you that there are two slightly different… [cont.]

A. Most small dc motors use permanent magnets. The advantage is that no power is used for the field coils, improving the efficiency. Here is an example:- These motors are generally worth a few hundred dollars. You are not trying to build a Perpetual Motion Machine are you? Of course not. You are smarter than that, right? Of course you are.

How much is this worth to a coin collector?
Q. Is a 1964 nickel (US) worth anything to coin collectors? Same question for: 1967 dime, and 1965 quarter. Please state your source. Also: is there a reliable site somewhere on-line that has this kind of information? Thank you for your time.
Asked by pinduck85 - Thu Nov 6 09:16:14 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The coins are too new and do not have collector value as yet. There is really no free site that can help you. Us collectors still use those old fashion things called books and numismatists have a large library. You can get a retail price guide like Coin Values for they come out once a month. They have retail prices and dealers pay at least 40 to 50% less.

A. A LOT. Get them appraised, maybe even by different appraisers and make sure they're legit--some appraisal people will try to cheat you out of what you have for a low price and then sell it for a lot more. I'd recommend eBay too.

A. Series 1923. = $25 to $300 depending on condition. Great condition is not an accurate description for currency collection purposes. Check on EBay as many are auctioned there.

How much is my signed Twilight series worth?
Q. I have all four books signed by Stephenie Meyer, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, how much would they be worth, in all honesty? I saw that the entire series signed just by Stephanie Meyer is worth up to 700.00 in mint condition, so I know it's gonna be a significant amount more than that.
